Meet Amanda
WELCOME!
I'm Amanda, a Clinical Nutritionist with a passion for helping outdoor athletes feel and perform their best through evidence-based nutrition.
Like many athletes, I know what it's like to have digestive issues interfere with the activities you love. There were seasons where long rides, trail runs, and climbing days were overshadowed by bloating, stomach pain, and constantly wondering whether my gut would cooperate. Learning how to fuel my body—and understanding the many factors that influence digestive health—completely changed my relationship with food, training, and the outdoors.
That experience sparked a career dedicated to helping others do the same.
Today, I specialize in digestive health and sports nutrition for outdoor athletes. Whether you're training for your first ultramarathon, spending weekends at the crag, preparing for a bikepacking trip, or simply want more energy for everyday adventures, my goal is to help you fuel with confidence so you can spend less time thinking about your stomach and more time doing what you love.
My approach combines clinical nutrition with practical, real-world strategies. Every recommendation is grounded in evidence and tailored to your goals, training demands, medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle. When appropriate, I incorporate laboratory data to provide a more complete picture of your health and guide personalized nutrition recommendations.
Since founding Purely Nourished in 2018, I've had the privilege of helping hundreds of clients improve digestion, increase energy, optimize body composition, recover more effectively, and enhance athletic performance. In addition to working one-on-one with athletes, I partner with outdoor organizations, gyms, and brands to provide nutrition workshops, educational content, and consulting.
When I'm not talking about nutrition, you'll usually find me climbing, riding bikes, spending quality time with my husband Josh and our two boy kittens, experimenting with new recipes, or searching for the perfect decaf latte. I firmly believe that nutrition should make your adventures bigger—not smaller—and I'd love to help you get there.
