Despite eating well, I kept experiencing low energy or “bonking” during workouts like rock climbing and trail running. Amanda helped me figure out how to fuel before, during and after my high intensity sessions so I could get back my energy and feel like my body was supporting me fully. I now understand not just what to eat and when, but WHY. Now I know how to fuel properly and my body’s indicators of low fueling, so I can make informed decisions. The whole process was really supportive and helpful. Amanda answered every question thoroughly with a direct response AND follow up handouts or links. She was super communicative and always upbeat! Thank you, Amanda!

I came in to the program with an open mind and ready to makes changes. I’ve done yo yo diets in the past and Amanda made this 5 week program such a great experience. She provided me manageable and maintainable suggestions. First time I finally feel like I’m able to trust myself with food.

I was struggling to maintain energy levels throughout the day, and was taking a long time to recover from my training. I was attempting bigger days out in the mountains, and felt that my nutrition was really lacking. Amanda helped me understand how to balance the foods I was eating, when to eat what, and how I should be thinking about food. She is professional and non- judgmental, which made me feel at ease. After working with her I have been able to maintain weight (despite increasing my training and working a ton), and I have more energy than ever before. Figuring out what to eat is no longer intimidating, and my relationship with food has improved exponentially since working with Amanda. I would highly recommend!

Working with Amanda has been a game changer for my athletic performance and relationship with food. Not only is Amanda professional, she was passionate about helping me reach my goals. She listened to my needs, helped educate me on specific topics and created personalized “actions steps” to guide me to my goals. With Amanda’s guidance I feel more confident fueling myself pre/intra/post training sessions; Which has helped me maximize my gains and optimize my recovery! I ran my first marathon in March and felt confident with my nutritional choices leading up to, during and following my run. Not only did Amanda help me with maximizing my training sessions, but she also has provided me with the tools to approach my nutrition like a marathon and not like a sprint. With heart disease plaguing my side of the family, I also had concerns about how the food I eat affects my heart health. Amanda helped educate me on particular strategies that would focus on my long-term preventative health. Today, I am more confident with fueling to maximize my gains in the gym, while keeping my heart health at the forefront. Thank you Amanda!

Before my sessions with Amanda I was really struggling with how to eat. I was too focused on things I “shouldn’t” be eating and living in a restrictive mindset. I was also dealing with bad cravings late at night that led to poor food choices more often than not. From my sessions, I gained how to create a balanced meal the right way, and what I was leaving out what actually doing me a disservice. realized certain foods I was staying away from (mainly carbs) was the thing that lead to my late night cravings. I can now build my meals with the thought process of what will keep me satisfied and sustain my energy until the next meal. This has lead to a lot less of those late night cravings and the thinking that I “can’t” have certain foods!

Before I worked with Amanda, I really thought I had tried just about everything to “hack” food for my health, wellness, and fitness goals. I felt like it was some big puzzle I had to figure out, and I was consistently left feeling stressed, frustrated, and frankly, hungry. Intuitive eating always intrigued me, but seemed too good to be true. Despite the fear I decided to try it out, and wow! What a difference it has made! I can go out on the weekends and eat without feeling guilty and scared, I don’t need to plan, count, or restrict, and best of all, food is enjoyable instead of being full of guilt. As for that hack I was always trying to find? Turns out all I really needed to do was learn to trust my body. Now I consistently have more energy, rarely get hangry, and have found it much easier to show up for my workouts because I feel good overall.
